Quotes

My Christian brothers tell me something different. They remind me that I am merely part of a team. I am unique, they say, but only in the way that every snowflake is unique. We are different, but not easily distinguished. We are all composed of the same stuff. We all fall to the ground, and we achieve our most captivating beauty...

Help strengthen the marriages in your church.

Promise Keepers Canada wants to partner with your church to give every couple a devotional this Valentine’s Day. We want to see families and marriages strengthened through love, honour, protection, and biblical values.

Over the past few years we have created devotionals for churches to give their men on Father’s Day. It has been thrilling to hear the positive feedback from men and from pastors, telling us about the impact these resources have had on their church.

A Godly HomeThis year, with the help of several authors, we have created a couple’s devotional for you to give out around Valentine’s Day. The theme of the devotional is Building a Godly Home. Each week looks at a different room and the issues associated with it:

Week One: The Front Entrance

Ken Taylor, Lead Pastor of Creekside Church in Waterloo, explores the questions “What does it mean to be married? What does it mean to be a couple instead of single?” (www.creeksidechurch.ca)

Week Two: The Kitchen

Bill and Pam Farrel focus on building healthy communication in marriage. Together they have written several excellent marriage books. Bill has also been a favourite speaker at PK Canada events. (www.love-wise.com)

Week Three: The Bedroom

Sheila Wray Gregoire is an author, speaker, columnist and mom. She also writes the column “What Women Want” in PK Canada’s SEVEN magazine and is a regular speaker at “Girl’s Night Out”. Sheila will discuss what it means to develop a godly sex life. (www.sheilawraygregoire.com)

Week Four: The Family Room

Rick Johnson is a best-selling author of both marriage and parenting books. In this week of devotions, he will be combining both worlds and encouraging couples as they parent together.  (www.betterdads.net)

Week Five: The Front Porch

In the final week, Bill Nixon, from the Mustard Seed, helps couples explore how they can work together to impact their neighbourhood, their country and their world for Christ. At its three ministry locations across Alberta, The Mustard Seed seeks to address the root causes of poverty through the delivery of basic services, housing, employment and the provision of a safe, supportive community for those in need.
