Theme of the Week: DEFCON
Bible Verse: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
Scripture Reading: Revelation 19:11-16
All this week, we’ve dug into what it means to be ready for our daily battles. While it may be difficult to see, we are in a spiritual war every day.
In DEFCON 5, we are at peace and to love all those around us.
You may be going through something today that affects your perception and response to those around you. However, as Christ-folllowers, we are called to respond in love and kindness to others no matter what. Take a moment and reflect on those people in your life who you may need to forgive and start loving again. Pray for God to speak to you and your heart about the healing process and help you take the next steps toward peace.
DEFCON 4, you see that security measures are a bit higher, and God is stepping in to protect His people.
Take a moment and reflect on how God has intervened in your life. Thank Him for His love and mercy. I also challenge you to take any current storm you are going during this COVID-19 pandemic to that same faithful God to calm your heart and give you peace about the road ahead.
In DEFCON 3, we move into readiness, and that usually means people are being alerted.
Is your readiness elevated when it comes to speaking about your faith in Christ Jesus? You don’t need to be aggressive but speak with truth and grace.
Here in DEFCON 2, we are putting on the Armor of God and getting ready for battle.
We are instructed to put on the WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD so we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Do you wear the whole armor of God?
Here in DEFCON 1, it’s war!
Jesus is in full control here, and if you have come to the saving knowledge of taking him as your Savior, then this is a sight to behold with pure joy and adoration.
Do you know someone who needs to know Jesus as their Savior? Pray for them right now and ask God to open a door for you and that person to have a conversation about Jesus.
