Bible Verse: Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. (1 Peter 3:8)

We came to Canada as a family when I was a little weasel. It was in Edmonton that I became Canadian by learning to play hockey, swat mosquitoes and speak real English.

The family that helped us get here took us to a good church and we were part of that denomination wherever we lived in this great country. At various points in growing up I really wondered about other churches.

In high school, I was fortunate to play on a few sports teams and there was always at least one team mate from another church. You know what, they weren’t freaks! We had a blast together. We helped each other walk the walk.

In my journey since then I have enjoyed serving alongside others from many churches. I have learned from various perspectives and styles from people who love Jesus.

I get to meet people across Canada and I am seeing more and more cooperation among Christians to impact and reach our communities, like the Love You City events, the city wide Good Friday Services, the Food Banks, etc.

God is using our uniquenesses and blending them together to make something extraordinary that is transforming peoples’ lives.
